On top of that, even your fridge looks like he’s been on diet for a long time! Do not worry my sweetheart because today you’ll learn how to save the case with this quick and yummy herb butter recipe! On top of that, it’s done in 5 minutes, just in time to throw your herb butter right at the doorbell! Knock knock, who’s there?
What is herb butter?
Herb butter is the savior of quick cooking. It’s made really quick and can be served immediately, mostly on fresh toasted bread. The bread is preferred not fresh, rather old (okey, not moldy, we do not make cheese, but a little older) because toasted bread is better when it’s not as fresh (if you don’t believe us, try it out). Also, it’s the best thing to do if you have bread leftovers (and we want always to be zero waste!).
Herb butter is butter mixed with all kind of herbs (you can take whatever herbs you have around your kitchen!) and served in warm bread. The herbs can be dried also, but for the best taste we really prefer fresh herbs! What herbs you like in your butter is yours to choose, that’s the best thing about it!
How to make herb butter?
1. First take out your butter (if in fridge) to warm it up (the butter needs to be on room temperature to be easily mixed with the herbs).
2. Then cut your bread and heat up your pan for toasting (no Teflon here).
3. In meantime, take your herbs and mince them nicely. Once again, you can use whatever herbs you like, change the recipe to your desires and fantasies (if thyme is your fetish, we don’t get into that, if you know what we mean).
4. Now mince your garlic and add all the ingredients to a bowl (cut the butter into smaller pieces so it can be easily mixed).
5. Finally mix everything together, if you want you can season it with salt to your desired taste.
6. Serve it with your fresh toasted bread and we guarantee your guests won’t be disappointed!
Quick cooking instructions
- Warm your butter on room temperature. Cut your bread and heat up your pan for toasting.
- Mince the herbs and garlic, add to the butter and mix!
- If desired, season with salt.
- Serve on warm toast and enjoy your little piece of butter heaven!
Where to use herb butter?
Herb butter is an all-rounder. It can be stored easily for a longer time (in the fridge of course), and you can easily take it out whenever you want. It can be also served on steaks, fish or even be added to your other cooking recipes or as oil replacement! It always gives a quick and strong aroma burst, whenever needed! It’s like the Viagra of cooking (quite nice to remember I guess).
That’s it, you are now ready to be called herb-butter-master-the-savior-of-all-guests! You got your title, you can keep it for yourself or be the best sensei out there and share it with your folks. Whatever you choose, choose wisely!
